So one of my livejournal friends started an art project she heard about, where she does sketches of other people's art she respects every day for thirty days (at least one page per day), which judging from those who have already done it significantly improves the artistic ability.
I thought this was a cool idea, so I decided to try out my own version of it. For thirty days (at least) I'm going to write short stories, snippets and sketches based off of authors/stories I like, copying the style of the story but using my own plot and characters, at least one page a day, and see where that takes me.
Any writers out there wanna do it with me? Or if you're an artist (*cough* tantraqphoria *cough*) you could do the original project.

All my tip money this week went to food. I ate out a lot.
A little over a week later, I'm finally feeling like I'm healthy again. Stupid sick.

Anyone see the Anonymous videos? They're pretty inspiring. I keep wishing they were against something that I really had an ax against. While I think Scientology is a cult, I also believe you can't police what people believe in.
I love their response to the media. It IS the media's job to uncover truth, and I agree that they're just show out for ratings.

I get to go see Romeo et Juliet tomorrow! I'm so excited I've been bragging about it to everyone, especially because I didn't think I'd get to go.
Luvs to my Jesse. = )

So, I'm in my end of winter purification stage, and I think this is the strongest year yet. I did a couple of streamlining things (I am using this word obsessively right now) or at least started but more is yet to come. I will actually be quitting Kung Fu, which I am sad about, but I've had debt ever since college and I'm tired of it, so I am getting rid of every expense which is not necessary.
I am also going to stop volunteering at Dunshee House and take a break from Farestart.
I am also getting rid of my dishes, packing away my pots and pans, packing away my wardrobe and probably getting rid of or storing a couple of other things so I just have more room and less clutter.
The chaff is gonna burn baby. = )

So I got through my entire childhood never having crushes on celebrities and now I find myself cruising band members through you tube music videos.
Also I just got an endorphine high watching Spice Girl recordings from their Vancouver concert.
Is it strange that I am often content and happy-go-lucky with life while at the same time being wildly insecure and worried and discontent?

Okay, try and keep up. Easier in written word than verbal, though.
At Christmas service at my mom's church I ran into my ex classmate Jeanette Gunderson, we talked a little bit and went our ways. Well Jeanette's parents know a professional writer; one Alexis Morgan. I had mentioned to Jeanette that I am working on a novel, Jeanette mentioned it to her parents who mentioned it to Alexis. Alexis used to go to church with me and my mother at Prince of Peace. She remembered us and, long story short, passed along her card through the Gundersons through my mother to me and said that if I have manuscripts or questions or wanted advice, to email her and she'd be glad to help.
OMFG! I have an honest to god writing contact.
Now I just need to get something finished! Argh, the pressure.

Am feeling lonely tonight. It's Juno's fault. Great movie, but made me all sappy romantical. Am now leaving out personal pronouns and listening to sappy love music. Heh. ^_^
Bright news, I slept almost all today and I think I won't have trouble sleeping tonight. I had energy. Pray it continues!

I haven't had a good night's sleep in weeks. I think it's the rain. It's making me restless and crazy. I have way too much frantic energy.
In other news, spicy food raises my chi in my solar plexus chakra, in my, how do you spell that again? dan tien?, the sea of chi in my belly and in my sacral chakra. The two energy centers I get, but I'm not sure why the sacral chakra. Maybe just because it's close to the dan tien?
Someone told me once that the reason I run into so much stuff is because my root chakra is closed (later they told me that my root chakra was decently open). I think I run into stuff not because my root chakra is closed but because my third eye is closed, which makes me less aware of the things around me.

So, the idea to read suicide notes to research an idea for a story may not have been my best plan ever.

Dude, Fallout Boy is hot. I've listened to their music all the time but never actually watched a video or nuttin'. I shall now proceed to lust after them.

Because I feel like bragging, this are three things I *love* about Jordan
1. (The most telling) He makes me want to write. I mean, how fucking cool is that?
2. We actually do stuff. Last weekend we walked through the Arboretum and Volunteer. This weekend we're going to a play and going shopping together.
3. I see my friends *more*. Not just I still get to see my friends as much as before, oh no. I see my friends *more* since dating Jordan. How often does that happen? With me, uh, never. And what's more, my friends and roommates like him. Do you realize how many guys I've dated that anyone else in my life either couldn't stand or actually detested?
In conclusion, I am humbly grateful. Thanks to the spirit of grace and love which moves through all things.

I had Lana Lang and Chloe Sullivan and I think Supergirl from Smallville come into my work today (obviously the actors, not the characters).
Huh.
